Yesterday Post collects as little as it can, uses it only to run the waitlist and tell you about the launch, and never sells it. This page explains what we collect and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
• A record of your consent: the exact wording you agreed to, when you agreed, and the IP address you agreed from. Canadian anti-spam law (CASL) requires us to keep this.
• Two optional answers: who you are buying for, and whether you are in Canada or the United States.
• Referral information: your personal referral link and how many people joined through it.
• How the page is used: pages viewed, which headline you saw, and whether you reached the end of the page. Our analytics does not use cookies or identify you personally.
• Advertising measurement: if you arrived from a Meta (Facebook or Instagram) ad, the Meta pixel records that you visited and whether you joined, so we can tell which ads work. Meta handles that data under its own privacy policy.

What we use it for

To send you emails about the waitlist, the launch and the letters; to hold your place and count your referrals; and to learn which parts of the page work. Nothing else.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers to run the waitlist, send email, and measure the page. They process your information on our behalf and only for these purposes. Some of them store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local law.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we close the waitlist without launching. We keep the consent record for as long as the law requires after you unsubscribe.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of any email.
• Ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you by writing to hello@yesterdaypost.ca. We reply within 30 days.
